“The Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020”:
Congress Enacts the Most Sweeping AML Legislation Since Passage of the USA PATRIOT Act
The act is part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, passing into law legislation that includes – as Division F – the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020 (pages 1160-1246).
The 2020 AML Act is made up of 56 sections in five (5) titles and is 86-pages long (and will likely be significantly expanded by implementing the federal regulations).
